I just got to this one today and I liked it a lot. Pieces like this are hard to flesh out and pare down at the same time. I read it twice taking in the stylistic choices in language and the economy of setting and references. It feels like a memory, which is 99% of what constitutes us, and it highlights the slow change that comes on us without realization of where or when it happened. Great stuff.
