Beyond Redemption – Cover Reveal!

Beyond Redemption – the next installment in the Wine Country Romance Series – launches on Tuesday! I’m so excited to share the cover with you today… But first, here’s a bit about the novella:

This racy Wine Country novella takes readers back to Redemption Road winery, where Audrey and Tyson are continuing the paths they discovered in Redemption Red.

This book focuses on Rebecca and Ray… And while Rebecca has made peace with her family and returned home to help build the winery into a wine country destination, she is still struggling with ghosts that threaten to destroy her happiness.

When someone shows up from the family’s past, everyone must face the truths that time can hide and come to terms with new realities…

This novella contains mature situations and is not appropriate for readers younger than 17.

And here’s the gorgeous cover, designed by the amazing Carrie at Cheeky Covers — she has done all the wine country books, and I love them!

Crickets…

Hello! Hi! Remember me?

Sorry I’ve been a bad correspondent. It isn’t that there is anything to write about. There’s tons. I’ve got some good things in the hopper, actually…I’m just not at liberty to talk about them yet, as they’re not quite solid. Kind of slushy. But good. 🙂

In the meantime, it’s been so fun to see the reactions people have had to Men and Martinis… most of my friends and acquaintances know that parts of that story were based on my life, my friends, and the time I spent living in NYC in the late nineties. They also have guessed that if any of the characters were me, it’d be Natalie Pepper. Which leads to a lot of questions. The top three:

1) Did you ever end up with CJ?

2) Was there really a Damon?

3) Did you actually wear plastic pants?

The answers are as follows.

1) Can’t tell…there are a book two and three, after all. But let’s just say that I’m not a fan of cliffhangers or unhappy endings. I also don’t like the slam dunk, so expect some twists and turns. 🙂

2) Sort of. And I’ll never say more than that.

3) Sadly, yes. I had a pair of plastic snakeskin patterned jeans that I actually bought in a mens’ store in Chelsea. I have no idea why I was shopping in a mens’ store in Chelsea, except maybe that I knew it was an up-and-coming gay community, and the store had a nice window display (which didn’t include snakeskin pants.) I can only imagine what the person working there must have been thinking as I went to try them on. Maybe I was drunk. I don’t really remember… Anyway, I did own them, and I did wear them, usually with a pair of round toe Steve Madden black platform boots that I loved. I remember putting them in a box to give away more than ten years later. I’d spent all that time convincing myself that there could be an occasion to wear them again, though most of my friends assured me there would be no such time.

Anyway, I hope you’re all doing well, and hope to have a few announcements here soon!

Speak Low by Melanie Harlow

You probably remember me going nuts about a book I read recently – Speak Easy by Melanie Harlow. It’s a flapper/gangster new adult romance set in the 20s – of course – and it was fabulously written. I couldn’t wait for the sequel, and luckily, I didn’t have to wait too long because Harlow is a fast writer! (PS. I love her because she is also a dancer!)

Anyway, check out the pretty (okay, so “pretty” might not be the right word…):

Cover Reveal: The Long Game by J.L. Fynn

This is the week for cover reveals! I’m especially excited about this one, mostly because I had the honor of reading a review copy of this book last week, and it’s unique and fresh and intriguing… New Adult without being too in-your-face sexy (not that I mind some steam, of course!). Here are the details!

TLGCoverBook Name: The Long Game

The Long Game on Goodreads – GO ADD IT!

About the book:

Smooth talking. Ambitious. Loyal. Twenty-year-old Shay Reilly has proven himself to his Irish-American Gypsy clan on small-scale cons, but now the clan leader has a bigger mission for him: playing the long game.

To rake in the big score he’s after, he needs to con co-ed Spencer into falling in love with him. He knows he should see Spencer as a mere means to an end, but that’s easier said than done when there’s a witty, attractive girl in your arms.

Now the only thing that can keep them apart is the thing that brought them together: Shay’s plans of revenge against someone who wronged his clan and family years before—Spencer’s father.

About the author J.L. Fynn: J.L. Fynn is the public face of a private identity. She enjoys making up stories about iniquitous heroes, providing Delphic answers to unasked questions, and obfuscating the truth just for laughs. But then, what’s an author but a professional liar? If you send her an email she might let you in on her little secret—assuming she likes your moxie.
